Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance appropriating $243,000 for the Public Safety
Building Complex Cellblock Detention Facility project. This is to provide
construction management during construction. Based on the current
manpower at the Building Division, adequate supervision for a project of this
magnitude is unavailable.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of
Public Works.

A. REQUEST:
We are requesting that Ordinance00-64for Capital Projects be amended to include the amount
of $243,000.00 to provide construction management for Public Safety Building Complex
Cellblock Detention Facility during construction.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
To provide Construction Management for Public Safety Building Complex Cellblock Detention
Facility during construction.
Based on the current manpower available to the DPW - Building Division, we are unable to
provide adequate supervision for a project of this size to oversee the project during construction.
