Kekai <br />Deputy Director <br />0 <br />N <br />cr <br />:-t <br />Pursuant to Sections 10-15 and 10-16 of the County Charter, 2% of real property tax revenues, <br />(including penalty and interest) must be transferred from the General Fund to the Public <br />Access/Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation (PONC) Fund, .25% of these tax <br />revenues must be transferred to the Public Access/Open Space, and Natural Resources <br />Preservation Maintenance Fund, and 1% of these tax revenues must be transferred to the Disaster <br />and Emergency Fund. Real property tax revenue exceeded the amount budgeted for FY 2024- <br />25. Funds from the excess revenues have been set aside in a restricted fund balance account. <br />These appropriations will allow for the transfer of funds into the PONC, PONC Maintenance and <br />Disaster and Emergency Fund transfer accounts in order to maintain compliance. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an Ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing appropriations <br />of $274,878.65 to the Transfer to Public Access/Open Space, and Natural Resources <br />Preservation Fund, $40,457.41 to the Transfer to Public Access/Open Space, and Natural <br />Resources Preservation Maintenance Fund and $128,439.51 to the Transfer to Disaster and <br />Emergency Fund. <br />If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jon Arbles of the Finance Department <br />at 961-8437. <br />Diane Nakagawa <br />Director of Finance <br />E°= Z till 141`7 <br />c: Accounts <br />Comm.
