Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution
No. 503-26, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 503-26, transmitted by Director of Public Works Wesley R. Segawa, via
Communication No. 798, dated March 18, 2026, accepts the dedication of a roadway lot identified
as Lot 7-A-2, being a portion of the property identified as Tax Map Key: 2-8-007:085, situated at
Pepe`ekeo and Makahanaloa, District of South Hilo, Island, County, and State of Hawaii.
The landowners seek to dedicate the roadway and all improvements for public road purposes.
Committee Chair Heather L. Kimball shared that the property identified is located within Council
District 1, which when fixed, provides the easement already being used as access between Highway
19 and Old Mamalahoa Road. She further stated that any further inquiries on this measure would be
best addressed by Director Segawa.
Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution No. 503-26, and recommends its adoption.
