RE: Proposed Bill No. 52, Draft 2
Amendment to section 24-281, Relating to Ohai and Puueo Streets
For your consideration, attached is a proposed amendment to: Bill 52
This amendment will be numbered: Bill 52. Draft 2.
Description of and reasons for change:
In paragraphs (3) and (4), this draft deletes the proposed amendments that would affect
Banyan Drive.
This draft retains the proposed changes to paragraph (20) that relate to Ohai Street and to
paragraph (22) that relate to Puueo Street.
More time is needed for the Public Works Department to work with the hotels to arrive at
a compromise regarding when parking should be prohibited to permit street cleaning on
Banyan Drive. Deleting the proposed changes in Bill 52 relating to Banyan Drive, will
allow the Council to move forward on the proposals relating to Ohai and Puueo Street
while the Public Works Department continues to work on developing a proposal relating
to Banyan Drive.
