No. 893/Bill No. 160 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 160, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 160, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 893, <br />dated May 1, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 25-45, as amended, the Operating Budget of the <br />County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. <br />This bill appropriates revenues in the Real Property Tax Penalties account ($1,125,000); and <br />appropriates the same to the following Transfer to Public Access/Open Space Preservation <br />accounts: Fund ($1,000,000) and Maintenance Fund ($125,000). <br />Committee Member Michelle Galimba asked Finance Director Diane Nakagawa and Controller <br />Jon Arbles to explain the Real Property Tax Penalties.
