COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 908/Res. No. 575-26
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 575-26, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 575-26, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication
No. 908, dated May 13, 2026, authorizes the acceptance of all donations of securities or personal
property not covered under the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance that are
received during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This resolution provides County Council pre -authorization for the County to accept donations that are
not covered by the Finance Department's capitalization procedures for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
Finance Director Diane Nakagawa was present and provided a brief overview of this measure.
Committee Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz acknowledged former Council Member Aaron Chung and
his efforts to create a more efficient donation processing system.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 575-26, and
recommends its adoption.
