Re: Amended Resolution 281-00 authoriz' g the acceptance of an "OJIZO-SAMA"
statue
Enclosed for your review and approval is an amended Resolution 281-00 authorizing the
acceptance of an "OJIZO-SAMA" statue from the Japanese Community Association of Hawaii.
The ornamental statue would enhance the appearance of Lili`uokalani Gardens and the many
visitors from the Orient will recognize this protector of the traveler. The generous donation is
worth approximately $1,500.00.
The purpose of amendment is to reflect the correct name of the organization (Japanese
Community Association of Hawai`i).
