HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 610 Draft 01 2024-2026A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF LATER FISCAL YEARS TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-YEAR LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH MRI SOFTWARE LLC FOR PHA PRO SOFTWARE AND RELATED SERVICES TO
BE USED BY THE OFFICE OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter of the County of Hawai‘i (hereinafter, “the Charter”) provides, in part, that “any contract, lease or other obligation requiring the payment of
funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution”; and
WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (hereinafter, “OHCD”) wishes to enter into a licensing agreement with MRI Software LLC for a term of five years for PHA Pro software
and other related services; and
WHEREAS, this specialized software is a complete tenant, voucher, and financial management system that allows OHCD to meet program requirements and efficiently document communications
with applicants, participants, and vendors; and
WHEREAS, OHCD estimates the annual cost of this agreement to be approximately:
1. $55,593 from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027;
2. $57,539 from December 1, 2027, through November 30, 2028;
3. $59,553 from December 1, 2028, through November 30, 2029;
4. $61,637 from December 1, 2029, through November 30, 2030;
5. $63,795 from December 1, 2030, through November 30, 2031; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, with a term of five years, for the purposes hereinabove described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in accordance with Section 10-11 of the Charter, sufficient funds be budgeted in later fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under
the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to William V. Brilhante, Jr., Managing Director; Diane T. Nakagawa, Director of Finance; and Kehaulani
M. Costa, Housing Administrator.
