The amendment is shown below <br /> in Ramseyer format with respect to the content of Bill No. 164; material to be added is <br /> underscored. Due to the limited scope of this proposed amendment, a copy of the new draft of <br /> this bill that would result if the amendment were adopted is not attached. <br /> SECTION 1 of Bill No. 164,which amends chapter 2, article 13, division 2, section 2-69, of the <br /> Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended)by amending subsection(a), is amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> "(a) There shall be a housing administrator who shall be appointed by the mayor, <br /> confirmed by the council, and may be removed by the mayor. The mayor shall <br /> appoint a housing administrator within thirty days after the occurrence of a vacancy. <br /> The council shall act to confirm or reject any appointment by the mayor within sixty <br /> days after receiving notice of the appointment from the mayor.
