Aloha Councilmembers,
Please restore the one-half of one percent provision (NOT one-quarter of one percent).
Also, please consider postponing the effective date of the Charter amendment till after the 2028
election. Then, if it appears that no adequate County Code provisions have been enacted, another
Charter amendment could be proposed to nullify this 2026 amendment.
