Re: Puainako Street Extension
Enclosed please find 18 resolutions for the condemnation of portions of properties and
easements for the Puainako Street extension. These parcels are located in the area from
Puainako's intersection with Komohana Street up to its connection to Saddle Road mauka of
Wilder Road. Except for one lot, the area is undeveloped and uninhabited.
We are simultaneously negotiating with the landowners as well as moving forward with
the condemnation proceedings as we need possession of the parcels by September 11, 2000 or we
will lose the federal share of funding for the project.
As always, these resolutions will require two readings before the Council, along with the
publication of the votes for each reading. Thank you for your cooperation.
