Subject:Testimony on Bill 165 - Opposed
Dear Council members,
I herein request that you cast 'No' votes on Bill 165. The PONC funding, both for
County acquisition and stewardship of important lands must remain in the Hawaii County
Charter where they are safe from reduction or elimination by an administration or Council who
feel that these monies might be more useful if spent on more immediate or tangible
objectives. The 2% fund administered through PONC provides a unique gift to all people's of
Hawaii and must be protected.
Please vote 'No' on Bill 165.
