Subject: BILL 165, DRAFT 2 RE: PONC
Aloha. I STRONGLY OPPOSE BILL 165, DRAFT 2, and ask that you all also oppose this. Hawai'i has an
extremely limited land base. Therefore,
It's extremely Essential that we protect, preserve and restore important and irreplaceable cultural and
environmental resources. This is what, we the public voted for in 2020. Now, only six years later,
changes are being sought with Bill 165.
Again, I STRONGLY OPPOSE BILL 165, DRAFT 2 because this will essentially undermine what is already in
place, making the funds more vulnerable to mismanagement and abuse.
So, PLEASE, I STRONGLY URGE you all to OPPOSE BILL 165, DRAFT 2 and do what is Right and Just to
Protect our Precious but extremely limited cultural and land resources.
Mahalo,
Debra M. Javar
