Subject:Support for Bill 163 – ʻĀina Kūpuna Dedication
I am writing in strong support of Bill 163. As a Native Hawaiian family born and raised in Kohala on
Hawai ʻ i Island, we hold ancestral properties here, and this bill can help multi-generational kama ʻ āina
families stay on their land for generations to come instead of being forced to sell. I believe it is a good
start toward supporting families who have deep roots in our communities.
