Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 172, reports as follows:
Bill No. 172, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication No. 959,
dated July 6, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 26-44, the Operating Budget of the County of Hawaii
for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This bill appropriates revenues in the revenues in the State Motor Vehicle Weight Tax account
($6,282.72) and appropriates the same to the Vehicle Registration Other Current Expenses account.
Funds will be used for expenses associated with programming and updating the County's motor
vehicle registration system.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 172, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
