This multi-day festival at the Kona Outrigger Resort celebrates and perpetuates Hawaiian traditions, language, and values through hula dance. Beyond performance, the festival fosters kOpuna's well-being by providing a supportive space for social connection, physical activity, and cultural expression. It also serves as an educational platform for the community and visitors, strengthening intergenerational ties and deepening appreciation for Hawaiian heritage. The festival includes live music by local musicians, hula competitions judged by cultural experts, traditional ceremonies, and community engagement activities.
