Dear Councilman Arakaki and Members of the County Council:
Enclosed for your review and approval is Bill Number 305, Draft 2, amending Chapter 2,
Article 15, Code of Ethics by following the language contained in the State Code of Ethics.
The following amendments have been made:
1. Page 6, Section 2-91.5(a)(1). "The officer or employee, or spouse or dependent
child of an officer or employee, received directly or indirectly from one source
any gift or gifts valued singly or in the aggregate in excess of [$200.00] $100.00,
whether the gift is in the form of money, service, goods or in any other form."
2. Page 6, Section 2-91.5(b). "The report shall cover the period from June 1 of the
preceding calendar year through [June 1] May 31 of the year of the report."
Material to be deleted is bracketed. New material is underscored.
