Re: Comm. No. 1030/Bill No. 188
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 188, reports as follows:
Bill No. 188, transmitted by Temporary Fire Chief Daniel J. Volpe via Communication No. 1030,
dated July 29, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 26-44, the Operating Budget of the County of Hawaii
for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — Rural Health Transformation Program
account ($2,355,000) and appropriates the same to the Rural Health Transformation Program
account. Funds will be used to fund personnel, telehealth equipment and software, and provide
training, travel, and program implementation materials.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 188, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
