Re: Comm. No. 1021 /Bill No. 182
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 182, reports as follows:
Bill No. 182, transmitted by Prosecuting Attorney Kelden B.A. Waltjen via Communication
No. 1021, dated July 31, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 26-44, the Operating Budget of the County
of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants — Justice Assistant Grant account ($86,932)
and appropriates the same to the Justice Assistance Grant Program account. Funds will be used to
support trial advocacy training efforts to deputy prosecuting attorneys.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 182, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
