Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 646-26, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 646-26, transmitted by Prosecuting Attorney Kelden B.A. Waltjen via Communication
No. 1020, dated July 31, 2026, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement
with the State of Hawaii, Department of the Attorney General, to receive a grant for trial advocacy
training.
This resolution allows for the receipt of $86,932 in federally -derived funds to support trial advocacy
training efforts to deputy prosecuting attorneys.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 646-26, and
recommends its adoption.
