Subject:Testimony in OPPOSITION to Bills 186 and 187 (Applicant: Waikoloa Green LLC)
Aloha
I have been a resident of Waikoloa Village since 2011. In that ?me, I have seen the village increase its popula?on,
especially a?er Covid.
I do NOT approve bills 186 & 187 un?l there is a real, funded commi?ee, with a ?meline for the needed infrastructure
which this growth requires.
In 2008, the County named a Second road a HIGH priority. What happened? Are our lives so dispensable that
stubbornness prevails?
Considering the ?me it took to leave the Village a?er the Mana Road fire, even with the access road opened, it surely
would have been another Hawaiian tragedy of people dying and burning up in their cars like Maui.
The stubbornness and slowness of the democra?c process has to stop and considera?on of human lives needs to take
priority over anything else.
