Subject:I oppose the rezone of land next to Waikoloa Village
I am writing to you to oppose Bill 186 that changes the state land use designation from Agricultural to
Urban for about 15 acres. Bill 187 rezones ~700 acres of the same parcel to allow a 400-unit apartment
complex with a clubhouse, plus about 275 family-agricultural lots and a handful of 1-acre AG lots, built
in phases through 2045.
I support hard zoning and am not in favor of allowing further development that is outside of our current
zoning. Stick to the plan, stick to the current zone. Do not give in to developers who only come to enrich
themselves.
