Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 196,reports as follows:
Bill No. 196,transmitted by Research and Development Director Benson Medina via
Communication No. 1081, dated September 14, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 26-44,the Operating
Budget of the County of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This bill appropriates revenues in State Grants—Coffee Berry Borer/Coffee Leaf Rust Pesticide
Subsidy Program account ($150,000)and appropriates the same to the Coffee Berry Borer/Coffee
Leaf Rust Pesticide Subsidy Program account.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 196, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
