Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 198,reports as follows:
Bill No. 198,transmitted by Housing Administrator Kehaulani M. Costa via Communication
No. 1094, dated September 15, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 26-44, as amended,the Operating
Budget of the County of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—Kukuiola Supportive Housing Project
account ($1,892,000) and appropriates the same to the Kukuiola Supportive Housing Project
account. Funds will be used to assist with the planning, design, and construction of the Kukuiola
Supportive Housing project.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 198, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
