KONAWAENA HIGH SCHOOL SIGN VARIANCE REQUEST
On behalf of Konawaena High School, I am submitting a request for a vataance from the conditions
of the Hawaii County Code Sec. 3-32-E(3) to enable the school to place a nonconforming sign on
school property- The sign code restricts signs to 24 square feet- If approved by the Council this
variance would allow for the placement of a sixty (60) square-foot sign. The purpose of the sign is
to inform the student body as well as local residents about upcoming school and community events.
Please place this item on the Agenda of the Committee on Public Works and Parks.
