ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14,ARTICLE 10, SECTION 14-65,OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION,AS AMENDED),RELATING TO
DESIGNATED EXCEPTIONAL TREES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 14, article 10, section 14-65, of the Hawai`i County Code, 1993
(2016 Edition, as amended) is amended by adding four listings to the"Exceptional Trees of the
County of Hawai`i"table to read as follows:
"Kiawe Tree 5-9-011:034 Bernard&Valerie Sadoulet
South Kohala Trust
Tahina Palm 2-4-001:167 State of Hawai`i, University
University of Hawai`i at Hilo of Hawaii
Wiliwili Tree Grove 7-4-008:057 Jill Wagner
Kealaka`a Street,Kona
Kapok Tree 8-3-010:045 Jill S. Kuykendall Trust"

SECTION 2. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance,the underscoring
need not be included.
SECTION 3. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application hereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid,the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
applications of this ordinance that can be given effect without the invalid provision or
"application, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable.

SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
