Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 202, reports as follows:
Bill No. 202, transmitted by Temporary Fire Chief Daniel J. Volpe via Communication No. 1110,
dated September 21, 2026, amends Ordinance No. 26-44, as amended, the Operating Budget of the
County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027.
This bill appropriates revenues in the State Grants — Kua Bay account ($136,319) and appropriates
the same to the following Kua Bay — State accounts: Salaries & Wages ($124,908) and Equipment
($11,411), for a total appropriation of $846,063. Funds will be used for costs associated with Ocean
Safety.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 202, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
