Aloha Council,
My name is David Craig, my wife and I own a registered un-hosted STVR on the Hamakua Coast. My understanding of
the current proposed rules is that they will apply to unhosted rentals as well.
It is disappointing to me that we have received no notice from the County about this current rule making. Since it has been
expanded to unhosted rentals, those unhosted STVRs already registered with the County should have certainly received
some kind of notification. I am personally opposed to the current proposed rules. This Council seems determined to kill
tourism in Hawaii and protect your hotel lobby donations without regard to the economic impacts of your actions. You paid
for a study to consider the economic impact to local residents and then blatantly ignored the results. In addition, the
infringement on the rights of Hawaiians to utilize their properties in the pursuit of prosperity by this bill is un-American. I
oppose.
