Ka'u Hawaiian Cultural Center(KHHC) project. The envisioned KHHC will include a large, open-air stage for music
and hula performances, along with space for cultural classes and educational activities. A cultural center building
will house a museum, community commercial kitchen, and visitor center. A five-classroom building will support the
Hawaiian Cultural Base Education component. A Hawaiian botanical garden will surround the facilities, creating a
culturally rich environment that fosters harmony with the'aina (land). Open grassy areas will also support
entrepreneurship through a farmers market concept. These components reflect the Ka'u community's collective
vision and input, gathered since 1994, and represent the envisioned final form of the project.
