VICTIM WITNESS FUNDING FROM THE STATE OF HAWAII
1) CAREER CRIMINAL PROGRAM (CCP) - State of Hawaii
Grant amount - $477,827
Agency match - none required
The CCP program was established by HRS 845-3 to support increased efforts to
investigate and prosecute habitual career criminals. 12 positions are allocated to this
program in the Prosecutor's Office: 5 deputy prosecuting attorneys, 1 investigator, 1
legal assistant 11, 3 legal clerks, and 1 clerk stenographer.
2) VICTIM WITNESS (VW) - State of Hawaii
Grant amount - $163,654
Agency match - $54,551 (in kind)
The Victim Witness program was established by HRS 28-111 to provide information,
assistance, and support services to the victims and witnesses of crime committed in
the State of Hawaii. Seven positions are allocated to this program in the Prosecutor's
Office: 2 victim assistance counselor I's, 2 victim assistance counselor 11' s; 1 senior
clerk steno; I clerk stenographer; and 1 senior clerk typist.
