Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the capital budget by
appropriating the excess fuel tax revenues collected from 1998-2000. Actual
revenues collected exceeded the $5M projected revenues established by
Ordinance No. 99-46 by $183,285.16. This ordinance would distribute this
amount using the same procedure and percentages established by Ordinance
No. 99-46. Exhibit A lists the projects.

Appropriate excess fuel tax revenues collected from 1998-2000 as
follows:

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Actual revenues collected exceeded the $5,000,000 projected
revenue established by Ordinance 99-46 by $183,285.16. This
ordinance would distribute this amount using the same procedure
and percentages established by Ordinance 99-46.
We are adding Puainako and Alii Highway to the Federal Aid
project list as several projects originally listed under
Ordinance 99-46 have not been programmed to receive federal
funding. Both projects have been programmed to receive federal
funds.
Source of Funding: Fuel Tax Increase 98-00
Transfer from Highway Fund Balance $127,178.87
Funds in Capital Project Fund Balance 56,106.29
TOTAL $183,285.16
