Re: Resolutions for Lease Payments
Enclosed are resolutions authorizing the payment of funds for more than one
fiscal year for 6 refuse trailers, 2 truck tractors and 1 bulldozer for solid waste
operations.
The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the above
equipment so would like to enter into a lease program over a 5-year period.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of
Public Works.

A. REQUEST:
Resolution(s) for the financing lease of six (6) refuse trailers, two (2) truck tractors & a D-8
Dozer for a period of five years.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Replacement equipment is needed for :
Six refuse trailers over ten years old
Two truck tractors over 200,000 and 300,000 miles, respectively
One D-8 bulldozer with over 12,000 hours of operation and very high maintenance costs
The Solid Waste Fund does not have the resources to purchase the referenced equipment, and
therefore requests the authority to enter into a lease program to finance the purchases over five
years. Funding for the leases is budgeted in the current year.
