Comm. 734: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25, OF THE HAWAII
(Bill 240) COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO BED
AND BREAKFAST ESTABLISHMENTS
From Councilmember J. Curtis Tyler III, dated April 4, 2000,
transmitting the above bill. States the bill includes some minor
grammatical changes and eliminates the plan approval requirements.
Comm. 734.00] From Terry and Ginger Neumann, Board Members, Hawaii Island
Bed & Breakfast Association, dated April 18, 2000, stating that the
Association supports the amendment to the Zoning Code, Chapter
25, relating to Bed & Breakfast Establishments (Section 25-4-7).

Comm. 734.003: From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated September 27, 2000,
transmitting a letter and attachments from Richard B. Baker, Jr.,
Chair, Planning Commission, relating to the County Council
Initiated Bi11240 (Comm. 734). States that the Commission
recommends a favorable consideration to the proposed amendments
to Chapter 25, Zoning Code, of the County of Hawaii relating to
Section 25-1-(b)13, Article 1, relative to Definitions; Section
25-2-23, Article 2, relative to Plan Approval for bed and breakfast
establishments; and Section 25-4-7, Article 4, relative to Bed and
Breakfast Establishments.
Also, after receiving public testimony and considering the proposed
amendments, the Commission expressed additional proposals, as
listed, be considered in Bill No. 240.
Comm. 734.004: From Planning Director Virginia Goldstein, dated September 29,
(Bill 240) 2000, transmitting Bill No. 240, Draft 2, which should have been
(Draft 2) attached to Communication 734.003.
