STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA REFERRALS Comm. 905: GENERAL PLAN PRESENTATION From Planning Director Virginia Goldstein, dated August 17, 2000, regarding their presentation on the draft General Plan at the Planning Committee's September 6, 2000 meeting. They hope to have copies of the proposed amendments available for the meeting. This presentation will be the first of many public meetings that will be scheduled for the months of September and early October. The purpose of these meetings is to present the proposed General Plan amendments to the County Council and the public and to solicit comments on the draft proposals. GOVERNMENT ACCESS TELEVISION: Channel 9 (Hilo) and Channel 12 (Kona) The Public Works & Parks Committee and Finance Committee meetings can be seen on Tuesday, September 12 at 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, September 19 at 8:30 p.m. The Planning Committee meeting can be seen on Thursday, September 14 at 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, September 21 at 8:30 p.m. All the above meetings will be aired on Sunday, September 24 at 9 a.m.
