From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated June 23, 2000, submitting for
confirmation the following appointment to the Planning Commission:
Mr. Aurelio C. Mina, Jr., of Puna (Council District 5), a resident of
Hawaii since 1970, who has been a welder with Yamada & Sons,
Inc. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
If confirmed, Mr. Mina will replace Mazy M. Katayama of Kona
(Council District 7), whose term expired on December 31, 1998,
and will serve a term to end on December 31, 2003.
