Yamashiro, dated March 14, 2000, transmitting a letter and above resolution from Planning Commission Chair Richazd B. Baker, Jr. (See related communications on next page) PC - 30 Page 2 May 2, 2000 Comm. 704.001: From Sidney Fuke, Planning Consultant, dated March 14, 2000, submitting a report entitled, Timeshare Industry Economic Impact Summary, prepared by KPMG for Bridge Capital, LLC. States that the author of this study will be present at the Planning Committee meeting to discuss the report and to answer any questions. Comm. 704.002: From Planning Director Virginia Goldstein, dated March 22, 2000, transmitting for information the Planning Commission's March 3, 2000, Hearing Transcript on Bridge Puako's resolution for time-share (Res. 229-00). Comm. 704.003: From Councilmember J. Curtis Tyler III, dated April 4, 2000, transmitting a copy of a letter from Evan King, President, Puako Community Association, dated March 28, 2000, requesting a public hearing concerning the time-share issue be held in West Hawaii (Res. 229-00). Comm. 704.004: From Councilmember Leningrad Elarionoff, dated April 4, 2000, transmitting information regarding the `Aina Le`a (Bridge Puako) Project. Comm. 704.005: From Steven D. Strauss, Esquire, dated April 17, 2000, on behalf of Protect Puako, requests that Res. 229-00 be deferred until interested parties have had an opportunity to review and comment on Bridge Puako's time-share study to Protect Puako and also the traffic analysis and impact study. Also submits for information, a copy of a letter from Steven S. C. Lim, attorney for Bridge Puako, dated February 29, 2000. Comm. 704.006 From Evan King, President, Puako Community Association; Emil Pensky, President, Mauna Kea Community Association; and Roy Simperman, Director, Vice President, Mauna Lani Resort Association, dated April 15, 2000, stating that the greatest potential impacts from Bridge Puako (`Aina Le`a's) time-share project will occur on the coast of their three communities where there are over 500 homes, for reasons, as listed. (See related communications on nex[ page) PC - 30 Page 3 May 2, 2000 Comm. 704.007: From Doane Triggs, President; Ken McGowan, Vice President; and Barry Snowbarger, Treasurer, of the Mauna Lani Terrace Association, dated April 14, 2000, requesting that the Council defer any action until Bridge Puako (`Aina Le`a's) traffic impact study is more rigorously evaluated with regard to defining, financing, and implementing the necessary changes to the Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway intersections affected by the project. Also asks the Council to defeat or defer Resolution 229-00 requesting the time-share, for reasons, as listed. Comm. 704.008: Copy of letter to William V. Brilhante, Managing Partner, CRI-KOHALA DEVELOPMENT COMPANY) from Sidney M. Fuke, Planning Consultant, dated Apri] 17, 2000, stating that Bridge Puako has withdrawn its proposed amendments to the permit and rezoning ordinance and is only requesting the time-share for up to 750 units. States the applicant's commitment on the location of the wastewater system to him still prevails. Comm. 704.009: From Sidney M. Fuke, Planning Consultant, dated April 18, 2000, submitting for information, copies of documents, as listed regarding the time-share resolution for `Aina Le`a -formerly Bridge Puako, LLC.
