Dear Council Members:
On behalf of the Child Protection Team of West Hawaii, I am writing to ask your support
and county funding for the Domestic Violence Unit of the County Prosecutor's Office.
The Domestic Violence Unit, funded through a Federal Byrne Grant as a four year
demonstration project, has clearly demonstrated its value and effectiveness. I trust that
you will enable the Unit to continue by including funding for it in the county budget.
