TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (Restrictions of Certain Vehicles
for Hamakua District)
From Deputy Chief Engineer Jiro Sumada, dated May 5, 2000,
informing the present wording for the restricted classes of vehicles
in schedule 4l, under the Hamakua district, is obsolete a confusing;
therefore, transmits a bill amending Chapter 24, of the Hawaii
County Code, Article 10, Division 8, Section 24-293, Schedule 41,
under the Hamakua District clarifying this section.

Comm. 785: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE
(Bill 263) HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION),
RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC - (Amends Section
24-104 (b) to read "Every motor vehicle upon a highway shall be
equipped with fenders for all wheels which shall cover the
protrusion of the wheels outside of the outer edge of the fender
well to prevent or minimize kicking up of rocks or other hard
projectiles from these wheels"1
