ASSOCIATION -SEWER ASSESSMENTS AND PENDING
CONSOLIDATION/RESUBDIVISION PROJECT
From Council Member J. Curtis Tyler III, dated August 31, 1999,
transmitting copy of letter from Mathew Jewell, Ashford &
Wriston, Attorneys at Law, dated August 30, 1999, on behalf of the
Queen Liliuokalani Village Community Association regarding the
above subject;. Requests a meeting to consider how PW&PC and
the Council can address the concerns of the residents of Queen
Liliuokalani Village on the matter.

Comm. 443: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE
(Bi11129) HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING
TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC (ADDING NEW SECTION
AND SCHEDULE ON 15 MINUTE PARKING AREAS
From Council Member Dominic Yagong, dated September 15,
1999, transmitting the above mentioned bill relating to vehicles
and traffic by creating a new section and schedule to allow for 15
minute pazking azeas.
Part of this amendment would include (c) South Hilo (1) Kilauea
Avenue, mauka side, from a portion sixty-four feet Puna of Wilson
Street to a point one hundred three feet in the Puna direction from
7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Comm. 452: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF
(Res. 145-99) PRIVATE PROPERTY, BEING TAX MAP KEY NO. (3)8-1-
009:009, SITUATE AT KAAWALOA, SOUTH KONA,
COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION OF A BYPASS
HIGHWAY BETWEEN THE VICINITY OF KEAUHOU AND
CAPTAIN COOK. KONA HAWAII.

16, 1999, transmitting the above-mentioned resolution.
Comm. 453: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
(Bill 133) KALANIANAOLE STREET: PROPOSED NO PARKING
ZONES
From Chief Engineer Robert K. Yanabu, dated September 17,
1999, informing the Hilo Road Improvement, Phase III project has
provided new concrete sidewalks with afive-foot wide "Bike Path"
on Kalanianaole Street between Keokea Loop Road and Apapane
Street. States the makai lane along this section will be too nazrow
to accommodate both through traffic and pazked vehicles;
therefore, transmits the attached bill to implement for
consideration.
