Comm. 229: APPOINTMENT TO THE HAWAII COUNTY VETERANS
ADVISORY COMMITTEE -PAUL K. JOHNSTON
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated March 31, 1999,
submitting for confirmation the nomination of Paul K. Johnston of
Mt. View to the Hawaii County Veterans Advisory Committee.
Mr. Johnston has been retired since 1992, and prior to that, was an
educator with the State of Hawaii Department of Education at
Castle High School (1975-1992). If confirmed, he will serve the
balance of the unexpired term of Jimmy Enocencio who has
resigned, to end on December 31, 2000.

SELF-EVALUATION AND TRANSITION PLAN
REPORT
From Pazks and Recreation Director Juliette Tulang, dated
March 29, 1999, requesting to have their consultants MIG, and
Wilson, Okamoto and Associates, Inc., make a presentation on the
draft ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan Report for policies
and practices related to the Department's programs and services to
the PWPC's Apri120, 1999 meeting. States the final plan will be
submitted for acceptance and approval at the PWPC meeting in
May 1999.
