Comm. 1080: APPOINTMENT TO THE HAWAII COUNTY COMMITTEE
ON CHILDREN AND YOUTH - DR. PETER A. IN
From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated November 17, 1998,
informing he has appointed Dr. Peter A. In to the Hawaii County
Committee on Children and Youth, replacing Kay K. Sakai, who
resigned for personal reasons. Dr. In has been in private practice
as a child psychiatrist since 1976 and is a member of the State
Mental Health Advisory Board, the Hilo Halfway House, the
Family Support Services and the Mental Health Association.

From Council Member J. Curtis Tyler III, dated November 6,
1998, transmitting the above mentioned bill to amend the Hawaii
County Code l 983 (1995 Edition).
Comm. 1077: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
(Bill 339) PARKING FOR COUNTY OF HAWAII LIFEGUARDS
From Deputy Chief Engineer Jiro A. Sumada, dated October 26,
1998, per request from the Hawaii County Police Department,
transmits a bill to authorize one additional parking stall along
Kahoa Street at the Honolii Beach Pazk for use by County
lifeguards and emergency vehicles. Informs the Department of
Pazks and Recreation supports this proposal.
Comm. 33: REQUEST TO NAME THE NEW KONA SWIMMING POOL
AFTER YOSHI OYAKAWA
From Richard "Sonny" Tanabe, dated December 8, 1998, as a
fellow member of the 1956 Olympics and as a former swimming
teammate, submits the name of Yoshi Oyakawa for consideration
as a candidate in naming the new Kona Swimming Pool in 1999
and transmits reasons for his request.

Comm. 54: RESOLUTION GRANTNG ACCESS EASEMENT OVER
(Res. 14-98) PARCEL L-6-TMK: (3) 1-2-04:090-KAIMU, PUNA
From Corporation Counsel Richard D. Wurdeman, dated
December 16, 1998, transmitting the above resolution which would
grant the current owner of TMK: (3)1-2-04-085, James K. Ahia,
III, his heirs, personal representative, administrators, and assigns,
the right of an access easement across the parcel described above.

RECYCLING AND DIVERSION PROGRAM

1998, transmitting the above-mentioned document, dated October
1998, which was conducted by her office in response to Resolution
209-98.
