FC-42 Page 4 August 8, 2000 UNFINISHED BUSINESS Comm. 813: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19, OF THE (Bi11276) HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), RELATING TO REAL PROPERTY TAXES From Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, dated June 9, 2000, transmitting the above bill. The purpose of this bill is to add a new section to establish a method of valuation of the property of public utilities to enable the County to collect real property taxes from said utilities. Includes provisions relating to: the permissive use of values set forth in annual financial reports to the Public Utilities Commission; definitions; the use of the market approach to determine land values; real property comprising outside plants; treatment of outside plant property with regard to liens and foreclosure.
