POWELL TO THE HAWAII COUNTY TAX BOARD OF REVIEW From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated June 2, 2000, submitting the following name for confirmation to serve on the Hawaii County Tax Board of Review: David R. Powell of Hilo (Council District 2), to replace Bill F. Eger, who resigned. He is a 42-year resident of Hawaii and retired since 1998. Prior to that, he was employed by Case & Lynch, Attorney at Law (1987-1998). He has no political party affiliation. If approved, he will serve the balance of the unexpired term, which will end on December 31, 2000. Comm:_803: RESOLUTION FOR FAIR AND~UITABLE ELECTIONS (Res. 267-00) From Council Member Julie Jacobson, dated June 7, 2000, transmitting the above resolution. Comm. 796: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE Bill 269 HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995) EDITION, RELATING TO WASTEWATER SERVICE CHARGE RATES From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated May 3, 2000, transmitting the above bill which proposes to authorize an increase in sewer user fees. Also attaches a comparison of the proposed rates to those of other jurisdictions. Further attaches an analysis of the implications should the rate increase not be approved. Comm. 804: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF 2?~ GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE PURPOSE OF FINANCING VARIOUS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII; FIXING THE FORM, DENOMINATIONS, AND CERTAIN OTHER DETAILS OF SUCH BONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THEIR SALE; AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF A LIKE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF SUCH BONDS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE COSTS OF THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH BONDS-(For the purpose of funding the improvements to the Count's radio communications stem) From Finance Chair Aaron S.
