Takahashi, dated June 22, 1999, submitting the above resolution which authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three (3) year agreement for an Unlimited Usage Amendment to the Westlaw Subscriber Agreement. The agreement would allow the County to save $225 a month. Comm. 378: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING THE CAPITAL BUDGET TO (Bill 108) INCLUDE A PROJECT FOR REPAIRS TO FACILITIES, UPGRADING OF BASIC INFRASTRUCTURE AND _UPGRADING OF PLAYGROUND SITES ($500,000) From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated July 9, 1999, transmitting the above bill. The project is needed to meet current safety codes and/or guidelines and to eliminate safety hazards. Comm. 383: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING THE CAPITAL BUDGET TO (Bill 109) INCLUDE A PROJECT FOR GRADING, PAVING, DRAINING, RETAINING WALLS, GUARDRAILS, GROUTING RUBBLE PAVING (GRP) AND UTILITY RELOCATION IN THE VICINITY OF WAIAHA STREAM From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated July 12, 1999, transmitting the above bill. The estimated cost is $1,500,000. The federal share is $1,200,000 and the County share is $300,000. The County share has already been appropriated. Comm. 385: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COST ADJUSTMENTS (Res. 120-99) AGREED UPON BY THE EMPLOYERS FOR EXCLUDED MANAGERIAL EMPLOYEES COVERED BY CHAPTER 77, HAWAII REVISED STATUTES, FOR THE PERIOD FROM JULY 1, 1997 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1999 From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated July 15, 1999, transmitting the above resolution. The cost items are 1.55 percent across-the-board increase as of January 1, 1998, a 1.45 percent across-the board increase as of July 1, 1998 and a continuation of within-range progression over the two years. Attached is an exhibit showing the total cost of these adjustments, all of which will be paid in the current fiscal year. Curtis Tyler, III, dated July 8, 1999, transmitting a bill relating to grants to nonprofit organizations and recommending that Bill 72, an earlier version of this bill, be filed by the Council. The new bill eliminates areas that prompted some objections by nonprofit providers in the community.
