PANAEWA RAINFOREST ZOO

transmitting the above resolution. The donation of the White
Bengal Tiger, valued at $15,000, to be used for educational and
display purposes, is from Mr. Dirk Arthur, Illusioneering, Inc.,
World-Renowned Magician in Bally's Production Show, "Jubilee,"
Las Vegas, Nevada.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING OF MAY 11, 1999
From Al Smith, Vice President, HSAC, dated May 12, 1999,
transmitting highlights of the HSAC Executive Committee meeting
of May 11, 1999:
ACTION IS REQUESTED on the following:
1. Approve the following proposed slate of HSAC officers
for FY 1999-2000.
President Rene Mansho (City & County)
Vice President Al Smith (Hawaii County)
Secretary Dennis Nakamura (Maui County)
Treasurer Ronald Kouchi (Kauai County)
2. Appoint at least one member of the Hawaii County
Council to serve on the NACo Steering Committee.
Currently serving on the NACo Steering Committees are
Councilmen Curtis Tyler (Environment, Energy & Land
Use Steering Committee) and Al Smith (Public Lands
Steering Committee).

Comm. 300: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TO ENTER INTO AN
(Res. 88-99) AGREEMENT FOR A JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE
BLOCK GRANT
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated May 14, 1999,
transmitting the above resolution. States the grant is for the purpose of
providing support and purchase training services from community based
organizations that will be part of accountability based sanctions for victim
restitution.
