Comm. 338.OO1:From Vicki Penney-Rohner, Chairman, East Hawaii Cultural Center, dated June 15, 1999, regazding Mayor Stephen Yamashiro's conceptual plan to move the Merrie Monarch offices and to put a Hula Museum to the Old Police Station Building, where the cultural center has been located for the past 20 years. States the Cultural Council has been offered space in the former JC Penney's building. Comm. 338.002:From Robin Miller opposing Mayor Stephen Yamashiro's plans to preclude the renewal of the East Hawaii Cultural Council's lease that they currently hold on the Old Police Station building when it terminates on December 31, 2000.
