PRESENTATION by the Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division, for a status
report on the closure of the Hilo Landfill regarding the administration's request for
proposal to perspective vendors in regard to handling East Hawaii Solid Waste Stream.

From Council Member Dominic Yagong, dated November 3,
2000, requesting a presentation by the Department of Public
Works' Solid Waste Division to provide a status report regarding
the closure of the Hilo Landfill on the administration's request for
proposal to perspective vendors with regards to handling East
Hawaii Solid Waste Stream. Requests details and directions the
administration is headed on for this very important issue at the
Committee on Public Works and Parks Committee meeting on
November 14, 2000.

The Public Works & Parks Committee meeting can be seen on Tuesday, November 21 at
8:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 28 at 8:30 p.m. The Planning Committee meeting can
be seen on Thursday, November 23 at 8:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 30 at 8:30 p.m.
Both meetings will be aired on Sunday, December 3 at 9 a.m.
