AN ORDINANCE :~VIENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HA~~`AI`I COLNTY CODE 1983
1199 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TILAFF[C
BE [T ORDAINED BY THE COliNCIL OF THE COliNTY OF HAI~'AI`I
SECTION 1 Chapter 24, article 10, drvtston 3, section 24-275, schedule 23 (Bus stop
locations), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edtuon), is amended by
deleting the following item
[(2) Kealakaa Street, makat side, from a point one hundred eighty-seven feet
south of Kumakant Street and extending to the southerly direction for a
distance of one hundred fifty feet from 7 30 a m to 8 30 a m and from
2 00 p m to 3 00 p m on school days ]
SECTION 2 Chapter 24, article 10, drvtston 6, sectton 24-287, schedule 35 (Passenger
loading zones), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawat't County Code 1983 (1995 edrtton), is
amended by deleting the following item
[(1) Kealakaa Street, North Kona, on the Katlua side behveen Kumukant Street
and the dnveway entrance to Kealakehe Elementary School ]
SECTION 3 Chapter 24, article 10, division 5, sectton 24-280, schedule 28 (No parking
at anyrttme), subsection (f) Kona, of the Hawat't County Code 1983 (1995 edthon), is amended
by adding the following to be appropnately numbered and to read as follows
Kealakaa Street, southwest side, beginning at Palant Road and extendm¢
four hundred eteht feet to the northwesterly dtrectton
Kealakaa Street, northeast side, beetnnme at Palant Road and extending
two hundred two feet to the westerly dtrectton
SECTION 4 Matenal to be repealed is bracketed New• matenal is underscored In
pnnttng this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed matenal and undersconng need not be included
SECTION 5 If any prov~s~on of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, ~s held mvaltd, such mvaltdtty shall not affect other prov~s~ons or apphcauons
of the ordinance, which can be given effect without the mvahd provision or appluaUon, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance aze declazed to be severable
SECTION 6 This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval
