I am writing to you in praise and support of Mayor-elect Harry Kims' recent appointment of Chris
Yuen to the position of planning director of Hawaii county Over his many years of service in
county and state govt . I feel that he has consistently shown to be an honest and effective
person, traits that are much needed in our current county government I urge my councilman for
district 5. Gary safarik. and Counal chair James Arakaki, to approve his nomination Please make
