Deer Mr. Anakaki:
My family and I reside at I{azaakea Camp, Ninole, North Hilo. I urge you to
confirm the appointment of Christopher Yuen as Planning Direcr~r.
I am an attorney in private practice in Hilo I have known Chris for nearly 10
years. During that time, l have appeared before Chris in Board of Land and
Natural Resources hearings and had dealings with Chris in private practice. In all
instances, Chris has shown himself to be of the highest integrity and to work for
the common good of the people of Hawaii. As a private attorney, I am familiar
with the administrative skills that must be acquired to build and operate a
successful law practice. In both private practice and on the Land Board, I have
witnessed Chris exercise such administrative skills and have no doubt that he has
the requisite experience necessary to fulfill all hrs administrative duties as
Planning Director.
